The best looks from Paris Fashion Week:Fall 2011

Show that had many surprises, the best was seeing Kate Moss walking out. Moss, a good 15 years older than a lot of the other beautiful young things on the catwalk, looked fabulous. And provocatively sexy and confident in a chic Mongolian fur and laser-cut leather jacket.

Miuccia Prada's Miu Miu seemed to be the perfect bookend to the season, distilling its biggest trends in the most understandable ways, starting with a nod to the classy dames of the Forties.

Alexander McQueen-Juxtaposing two ideas—feminine versus aggression—several flowing, festooned white dresses were accented with black leather harnesses. Food for thought for a show that falls on International Women's Day. But by god, those dresses were beautiful.

Chanel Fall 2011-For evening, the options were basically lacy, loose black catsuits, which look great on the right kind of girl (Freja or Abbey or Heidi) or in the pages of an editorial. But, surprisingly, Lagerfeld finished not with an evening version but a woolly one.

Valentino Fall 2011-While a straightforward check wouldn't fit into the ultra feminine lineup, layering it with a delicate floral in similar colors absolutely did. It also made for an interesting evening statement.
